Nature Stroll Together // Paseando Juntos en la Naturaleza 

Join Bridging Communities for a fun and relaxing outdoor family gathering designed to help families connect with nature, build community, and enjoy a welcoming space together along the beautiful Rogue River.

Families will have the opportunity to choose activities at their own pace, including a guided nature hike, bird watching, Nature Bingo, exploring accessible walking paths, spending time by the river, enjoying a family picnic, and connecting with other families in the community. This event is designed as an open-house style experience where families can participate in the activities that feel most comfortable and enjoyable for them.

👨‍👩‍👧 For families of children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Siblings, caregivers, and friends welcome! Please attend with a parent/gaurdian, DSP, or other truasted adult.

What to know beforehand:

  • Saftey talk at the beginning of the event will go over site hazards- please attend this!
  • Please fill out the liability form sent to your email after you have completed registration.
  • Accessible portable restroom
  • ADA parking
  • Accessible 0.25-mile loop trail
  • Water and snacks provided
  • Life jackets available for children who may wander/elope
  • Be prepared for sun!

9:30 – 10:30 AM | Guided Nature Hike (Optional)
• Optional family-friendly guided hike on the Gnatcatcher Loop
• Led by Rebekah from Southern Oregon Land Conservancy

10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Explore at Your Own Pace
• Nature Bingo
• Bird watching and nature activities
• Accessible walking paths
• Family connection time by the river

Acompañe a Bridging Communities en este evento familiar al aire libre, divertido y relajado, diseñado para ayudar a las familias a conectarse con la naturaleza, fortalecer comunidad y disfrutar juntos de un espacio acogedor a lo largo del hermoso río Rogue.

Las familias tendrán la oportunidad de participar en actividades a su propio ritmo, incluyendo una caminata guiada por la naturaleza, observación de aves, Bingo de la Naturaleza, explorar senderos accesibles, disfrutar tiempo junto al río, compartir un picnic familiar y conectar con otras familias de la comunidad. Este evento está diseñado como una experiencia abierta, donde cada familia puede participar en las actividades que se sientan más cómodas y disfruten más.
