Join The Arc Jackson County and Bridging Communities as we celebrate Disability Pride Month by reading Being Heumann — the inspiring memoir of Judy Heumann, a fierce advocate who helped pave the way for the disability rights movement.

Together, we’ll learn about her powerful journey to advocacy and the fight to protect the civil rights of people with disabilities. This book club is open to everyone and includes virtual and in-person options so you can join in the way that works best for you.

We also offer loaner equipment for families who need assistance registering or accessing virtual events. Additionally, we want to ensure that transportation, child care, and translation services are never barriers to participation. We encourage you to note any potential barriers in the registration forms so we can explore ways to help you.

To better serve our community and confirm to our funders that we are reaching the families who need us, our registration forms will ask for some basic information. Your privacy is important to us, and all data collected will be handled confidentially.
