About Rosa Belem Ochoa
Rosa Belem Ochoa is a dedicated and self-motivated Mexican immigrant mother of three who has become a strong advocate for her son and others with disabilities. She founded “Charla entre Padres,” a statewide support group for Latino families with members who experience disabilities. Rosa provides bilingual resources and tools to the Latino community both locally and statewide. Her extensive involvement includes serving as a family member for the Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities (OCDD), participating in the Family Caucus (OCDD), and being a Parent Advisor at the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS). Additionally, Rosa is a Certified SibShop Facilitator, a Strong Start Graduate, a Certified Community Health Worker, and a graduate of the Parent Leader program at FACT Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys trying multicultural cuisines, spending time with her husband, and watching suspenseful series on Netflix.
